Jerusalem In My Heart Announces European Tour with Lucrecia Dalt

"Moumneh blends virtuosity with unbridled inventiveness in composition, songwriting and collaboration to create an evocative and richly referential body of work...tension reflects a wider motif of duality, and just how brilliantly music can mediate these poles to create something far more articulate than language, particularly when it comes to understanding the modernity of the Arab world." – The Wire

"To listen to the music of Jerusalem In My Heart, the name under which Radwan Ghazi Moumneh records, is to experience a lurching, sonic dislocation. The effect is as peculiar as it is exhilarating... A complex, yet lush, accumulation of language and sonic textures designed to transcend the limits of language and communicate at a level that is direct and unhindered. But beneath the carapace of swooping chromatics and yearning voices are scratchy textures and a sense of peril...'Daqa’iq Tudaiq' is a revelation of sorrow that goes beyond all language – with JIMH providing an articulate, angry and poetic voice for the mess we’re in." – New Internationalist

"It’s beautiful, beguiling, astonishing. Jerusalem In My Heart is a blend of West and East, Montreal and Beirut, that merges facets of each world. The wonderful first side, “Wa Ta’atalat Loughat Al Kalam,” is a transcendent entry point into a world of shared culture, one without borders in which ideas are freely exchanged. The music flows like a worship service, eventually eradicating all concept of time." – A Closer Listen

"The first side immediately showcases Moumneh's experimental tendencies as the subtle drones and tensive ambiances come together and build an atmosphere that transitions organically into Middle Eastern melodies. The orchestra proves to be a potent element, resulting in a fantastically rich sonic offering, as the numerous instruments meet to bring together this moment of transcendental experimental folk music under the guidance of [co-arranger and orchestra leader] Sam Shalabi." – PopMatters
