Jerusalem In My Heart, the Montreal-based experimental film and music performance project helmed by Radwan Moumneh with filmmaker Charles-André Coderre will head out in the late summer and early autumn for a string of performances in several cities in Quebec and Canada during September and October.
JIMH’s last live performances followed the release of their critically-acclaimed sophomore album, If He Dies, If If If If If If, in September 2015. The album was called “a stunning, of-the-moment record that speaks to the intersection of the personal and political with supreme confidence” by AD-HOC, and “riveting… a sombre and haunting work” by The Skinny.

The pair will be returning to the live performances after having been busy with their own respective projects in recent months (Moumneh has been curating a selection of artists for the upcoming edition of Utrecht’s Le Guess Who festival, whereas Coderre has been showing his own film work, ‘Granular Film – Beirut’). This time around, JIMH will be joined by Scattered Clouds, Geneviève Beaulieu (aka Menace Ruine) and Ben Shemie (of Suuns) on their dates across southern Québec and Ontario. The tour starts in Saint-Hyacinthe with Ben Shemie’s new solo project and sees Scattered Clouds step up on the Ontario dates. JIMH’s Montreal concert will feature Geneviève Beaulieu in a new incarnation.
Jerusalem In My Heart are responsible for some of the most challenging, elegant and emotionally profound interdisciplinary art we’ve had the pleasure to experience; do not miss these opportunities to witness firsthand.
