We’ve just learned that Siskiyou’s Nervous (released in January) and Colin Stetson and Sarah Neufeld’s Never were the way she was(released in April) have both been long-listed for the 2015 Polaris Music Prize.

The prize – for which Mr. Stetson has been short-listed twice before and which GY!BE were awarded in 2013 for ‘ALLELUJAH! DON’T BEND! ASCEND! – is meant to honour “artistic integrity, without regard to musical genre, professional affiliation, or sales history.” The 40-album long list will be pared down to 10 in July, followed by handing out of the award itself in September. Congratulations Siskiyou, Colin and Sarah!
