– Chronicart
"Zubberdust! blasts off with whimsical punk-rock exuberance into a patchwork quilt of insistent interlocking grooves, fluorescent panels of synthesizer, and various could’ve-been aural hallucinations. Both hypnotic and jagged, the music of Avec le soleil sortant de sa bouche transfixes with tunnel-vision repetition only to hurl the listener, sometimes suddenly and beguilingly, into a different musical space." – Musicworks
"This is lively, spiky jamming, perfect for rooftop parties and desert caravans... Avec le soleil sortant de sa bouche offers an alternating series of catchy riffs and trance-like repetitions that build and burst in equal measure. The electronics add texture and drama, especially on the second side, which culminates in static waves crashing against jetties of cymbals. In concert, one can imagine these tracks being stretched from 20 minutes to 40; such is their power to distort time. (And how often does one say that a 20-minute piece should be longer?)" – A Closer Listen
"Zubberdust! begins with an incendiary blast of all-out group riffing, but the band's fluid, unabashedly danceable rhythmic abilities quickly emerge, as the first of the album's two near-side-long showpieces gets underway. Throughout, lithe guitar lines twist and snake around the relentlessly funky rhythms, with a wealth of additional electronic, synthesized textures and interventions and J.S. Truchy's largely wordless vocal calls, chants and choral arrangements adding to the heady mix. Two shorter sound-collage interludes, featuring the noise and chatter of a busy venue amongst the other recorded snippets, are perhaps a nod to the band's on-stage evolution, giving the album the feel of a live gig, befitting such a vibrantly alive debut from this welcome new group." – Rock-A-Rolla
