Guy Picciotto is a musician from Washington DC, best known as one of the guitarists and vocalists for the band Fugazi. Formed in 1987, Fugazi released eight albums, the documentary film Instrument, and toured the world extensively for over 15 years.
Prior to Fugazi, Guy was in a series of groups including Rites of Spring, One Last Wish, and Happy Go Licky. He has released local music on his self-managed label Peterbilt Records and worked as a producer for such bands as The Gossip, Blonde Redhead, the Blood Brothers, the Make-Up, Metamatics, Slant 6, Quix-o-tic and the Casual Dots.
Most recently Guy has been playing guitar in an ongoing project with songwriter Vic Chesnutt and musicians from Silver Mt Zion. He played on Northstar Deserter, the Constellation-released debut for this band, and the group is currently at work on a follow-up.
