We’ve just heard that Impossible Spaces, Sandro Perri’s masterwork of eclectic, intelligent, mind-bending pop, has been long-listed for the 2012 Polaris Music Prize, honouring “artistic integrity, without regard to musical genre, professional affiliation, or sales history.” The list includes 39 other Canadian albums released in the past year, and will be whittled down to 10 in about a month before the grand prize, and the attendant oversize novelty cheque, are handed out in September.

Congratulations Sandro!
