Full deluxe packaging to be revealed in early Spring 2021.

The Proposal O.S.T. will be issued in a limited hand-numbered vinyl edition of 500 copies, pressed on 180gram audiophile LP at Optimal (Germany). The album packaging features a custom die-cut jacket made from cobalt blue fine art cardstock with white foil-stamped titles, a printed inner sleeve, and three additional double-sided 12”x12” archival pigment print art cards featuring reproductions from conceptual artist Jill Magid’s installation work around The Proposal project and stills from the accompanying full-length documentary film. The outer jacket is window-cut to allow alternate framing of the various art cards. The iconic front cover image replicates Magid’s gallery installation view of the ring forged from a trace of Mexican architect Luis Barragán’s ashes – her artworld intervention, with the consent of Barragán’s family and estate, to challenge the privatization of his artistic archive, which was sold to a Swiss billionaire and gifted to the magnate’s wife as ‘an engagement present’.

The Proposal O.S.T. will also be issued on CD in a custom mini-gatefold cardstock jacket.

Brooklyn-based composer T. Griffin has been crafting evocative, atmospheric film music for over 20 years. With 50+ feature-length scores to his name (alongside 5 solo albums and a wide variety of other collaborative recording and production projects) Griffin has soundtracked numerous notable films, including 2020 Sundance Grand Jury Prize winner Boys State and Academy Award-nominated Life, Animated.

His forthcoming album The Proposal, slated for June 2021 release in a limited art edition on Constellation, features the sublime original score for conceptual artist Jill Magid's film of the same name. The Proposal is the acclaimed art-world docu-drama that traces a cryptic and meditative path around the legacy of Mexican architect Luis Barragán, raising questions of intellectual property, appropriation, reification and obsession along the way.
